The Flying Squid Challenge #8
Make a remote control by cutting a large piece of cardboard or paper, and drawing a few ‘buttons’ or icons on it. Each button does different things, for example:
“Up Arrow”- for jump
“Cat” – for acting like a cat
Add as many buttons as you want, don’t forget to add an “OFF” and “ON” button!
First, the parent squid presses the ON button, and their squid(s) will “turn on”. When the parents press additional buttons, their squids will pretend to be doing whatever this magic remote is asking them to do: be a robot, run, sleep, maybe clean up their rooms? (Wink, wink… )
However, don’t get too comfortable because soon it will be your squids’ turn to use the magic remote control!
Here are some interesting suggestions for useful buttons:
Humanoid Robot
Cleaning Robot (one of those cute round robots that drag along the floor)
_______ Player (fill the blank with your favourite sports’ star)
Opera singer
Washing the dishes
And of course, every remote control must have this button:
Ostrich
Chopito, the Flying Squid, made a remote control with fantastic features. Our favorite button is the “grape” button.
Naru, the kitty, is playing with some yarn. Chopitón, the largest cat in town, is catching a tasty mouse.
