The Flying Squid Challenge #13 

First, the parents make up a simple movie plot. For example, an astronaut gets into a rocket and flies to the moon, where the astronaut jumps around and finds the nicest moon rock. 

The parent will frame the scene using his/her hands. He/she will call, “Quiet on set! Camera rolling. Action!” And then the squid(s) will act the scene. When the scene is over, the parent will call “Cut!” and move onto the next scene. 

If you have more than one squid, the other squids can act out different scenes, or be part of the crew: boom operator, set designer, you can have a full Hollywood production right in your own home!

When the first movie is over, it’s time for the squids to become the camera operator/director, and the parents to become the Leonardos and Kates of your home.

“Quiet on the set! Roll sound! – Rolling! – Roll Camera – Rolling! – Call it! – Scene Five Apple Take 1 – Action!”
