The Flying Squid Challenge #9
Find a few fun objects that can be used as phones: a pair of bananas, socks, books, etc. You can even choose to try the old school route, and pretend you are using one of those older, two-piece phones. For instance, use shoes for the speaker and socks for the microphone.
Playfully pretend to dial and call your squid. He/she will also have to use a Bizarre Phone, or else, he/she won’t be able to hear you. Make the sound of the buttons, the ringing, and then the dial tone when you hang up. For extra fun, when your young squids call you, pretend to be asleep. When you wake up, startled by the sudden ringing, your little squids will totally crack up!
An interesting characteristic about young squids is that they love making their parent’s lives a complete misery (most of the time).
Naru called her brother Chopito using the latest technology: 10G Kalanchoe phone plant! Chopito, instead, used a pair of clean (I have my doubts) underwear.
Don’t forget to share pictures of your children’s activities with your loved ones. Please tag them: #TheFlyingSquidChallenge. We’d love to see them too. Remember, sharing this challenge with other parents in your network will give you bonus points!
